8. Analysis tools

Facebook Custom Audiences

This website uses the remarketing function ‘Custom Audiences’ provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (‘Facebook’). This service uses cookies. You can find out which cookies are used and how long they are stored in the list above under point 11 ‘Cookies’ and there under ‘Marketing’.

Scope

When you visit our website, Facebook receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data mentioned above under the point ‘When you visit our website’ no. 4 of this declaration will be transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Facebook provides a user account that you are logged in to or whether no user account exists.

If you are logged in with your Facebook account, your data can be directly associated with it. If you do not want this data to be associated with your Facebook profile, you must log out. It is possible that this data will be passed on to Facebook’s contractual partners, to third parties and to authorities.

We have no influence over the data collected, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection and the storage period by Facebook. In this respect, your data may also be transferred to the servers of Facebook Inc. in the USA and/or other third countries.

Further information on the extent of data collection and its processing by Facebook can be found at .

Purpose

This service is used to display interest-based ads (‘Facebook Ads’) to users of the website when they visit the social network Facebook or other websites that also use the process. In doing so, we pursue the interest of showing you ads that are of interest to you in order to make our website more interesting to you.

In addition, Facebook analyses the data obtained through the use of the service for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website.

Further information on the scope of data collection and its processing by Facebook can be found at .

Legal basis

The legal basis for the processing of your data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1 lit. a GDPR. This means that this tool will only be used after you have given your consent.

Consent / withdrawal

You can give your consent here.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

You can revoke your consent here.

Deactivation

You can also prevent the use of Facebook Custom Audiences cookies in the following ways:

  • by deactivating the ‘Facebook Custom Audiences’ function for logged-in users at https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads#.

Google Ads (Conversation Tracking / Remarketing)

This website uses the Google Ads offering with the so-called conversion tracking and remarketing function. This is a web advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (‘Google’).

You can find out which cookies are used and how long they are stored in the list above under point 11 ‘Cookies’ and there under ‘Marketing’.

Scope

These advertising materials are delivered by Google via so-called ‘ad servers’. To do this, we use ad server cookies, which allow certain parameters to be measured, such as the display of ads or clicks by users. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Ads stores a cookie on your PC. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. The unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (marker that the user no longer wishes to be addressed) are usually stored as analysis values for this cookie.

These cookies enable Google and us to recognise your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Ads customer’s website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the Ads customer can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. A different cookie is assigned to each Ads customer. This means that cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Ads customers.

We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google, which enable us to recognise which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising material; in particular, we cannot identify users on the basis of this information.

In addition to Google Ads Conversion, we use the Google Remarketing application. This is a process by which we would like to address you again. This application allows us to display our advertisements to you as you continue to use the internet after you have visited our website. This is done by means of cookies stored in your browser, which Google uses to record and evaluate your usage behaviour when you visit various websites. This enables Google to determine that you have previously visited our website. According to Google, the data collected as part of remarketing is not merged with your personal data that may be stored by Google. In particular, Google states that pseudonymisation is used for remarketing.

We have no influence on the data collected, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection and the storage period by Google. In this respect, your data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

Further information on the scope of data collection and processing by Google can be found at and . Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at http://www.networkadvertising.org.

Purpose

The evaluations that Google transmits to us enable us to recognise which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. The purpose of using this service is to display advertising that may be of interest to you in order to make our website more interesting for you.

In addition, Google evaluates the data obtained through the use of the service for the purpose of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website.

This service uses cookies. Which cookies are used and how long they are stored can be found in section 11 ‘Cookies’ and there under ‘Marketing’.

Scope

This prevents direct personal reference.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address provided by Google Analytics as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Google uses a cookie ID to record which ads are displayed in which browser and thus prevent them from being displayed more than once. In addition, DoubleClick can use cookie IDs to record conversions that are related to ad requests. This is the case, for example, when a user sees a DoubleClick ad and later visits the advertiser’s website with the same browser and makes a purchase. We work with partners who advertise our products on various platforms on the internet (‘affiliate marketing’). When you click on the advert, you are redirected to our website. The partners receive a fee for this placement activity. To calculate the fee, we record the sales initiated by the partner, together with the relevant data for calculating the remuneration. This includes the value of the products purchased, product information, an internal ID, the relevant currency and details of the commission model agreed with the cooperation partner, as well as details of the agent itself. The exact calculation of the commission for the cooperation partners is carried out by our service provider Webgains, who processes this data on our behalf in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Legal basis for data processing: Art. 6 (1) (1) (b) GDPR. In addition, you will be asked to accept a cookie for this purpose. The data listed above will be stored in accordance with the provisions of tax and commercial law for verification purposes after the remuneration has been processed. This is also carried out by our service provider Webgains. Legal basis: Art. 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR.

In the event of any ambiguity in the processing of the brokered sale, further information on the brokered sale may be provided by our cooperation partner in order to clarify the matter. Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

If you participate in a cashback programme, we will provide the programme provider with the data required to pay the commission. For more information, please also see the privacy policies of the respective programmes.
