Less is more
Nature has the best ideas. And that’s exactly where Brauns-Heitmann draws inspiration from. We prefer to use nature-based ingredients, avoid formulations with microplastics, and ensure biodegradability. HEITMANN pure products are a good example of this approach. They show how easy it is to achieve pure cleanliness. Based on the principle of “less is more” these household products contain only one or a few active ingredients. These include naturally-occurring acids and minerals, which are both powerful and environmentally friendly. The result is transparent products that can be used in a variety of ways. Most of our formulations are already vegan. Independent institutes test our products for skin-friendliness and allergy-friendliness. We only use pure food colourings or natural dyes made from 100 per cent plant concentrates in our egg dyes.
Acidic is clean
Natural, food-safe, and non-toxic for decades, we have consistently used nature-identical acids in our descalers, achieving a doubly positive effect. On one hand, these acids are powerful, food-safe descaling agents. On the other, they are 100 per cent biodegradable. Many of them—such as citric acid and lactic acid—are even natural components of human metabolic processes and are also used in the food industry. This makes descaling safe for people and the environment.
Utilise potential
We already source a significant proportion of our raw materials and other supplies from Germany and Europe. Around 90 per cent of our suppliers are located in the EU, with over 80 per cent in Germany. We plan to increase this proportion even further in the future. The proportion of renewable raw materials will also be steadily increased.
